@codepinkalert MOORHEAD, MN PASSES CEASEFIRE RESOLUTION! After months of organizing by CODEPINK Fargo-Moorhead members, the City Council of Moorhead, Minnesota has approved a resolution calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza as well as the cessation of U.S. financial and military support for Israel. Through educational teach-ins, public comments at city council meetings, and working with the human rights commission, our members were able to appeal to the moral clarity of their city council. The chapter is also working to pass the same resolution right across state lines in Fargo, North Dakota. The collaborative efforts between the two cities recently resulted in both mayors issuing a joint proclamation that essentially supported the call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
