Episode 365 of CODEPINK Radio: The Masquerade: On this episode, host Marcy Winograd speaks with Teri Mattson of CODEPINK’s Latin America team on resistance to the US masquerade as protector of Latin America, where the Department of War has launched the “Shield of the Americas” military alliance under the guise of fighting drug cartels. Next, Marcy speaks with Liz Jackson, Legal Director of K-12 Legal Defense, on the organization’s challenge to the Zionist masquerade as protector of Jewish safety in its war on schools and colleges that dare to protest US-Israel genocide in Gaza.

It's one of the biggest environmental organizations in the Americas.

@codepinkalert From Seoul to Camp Humphreys, Koreans are demanding an end to foreign military occupation. On National Liberation Day, we marched alongside Koreans calling for an end to the U.S. military presence that has brought environmental destruction and human rights abuses to local communities. The Pacific deserves peace, not more U.S. bases and militarization. End the occupation. Close the bases. Peace in Korea and across the Pacific.

@codepinkalert Cuban children are paying the price for the brutal U.S. blockade. Hospitals are struggling to access medicines, equipment, and essential supplies because of a policy designed to strangle Cuba’s economy. Save the Children, one of the world’s largest organizations devoted to protecting children, says it will “do whatever it takes” for every child. If they truly believe every child matters, that must include Cuba’s children. Sign the petition and demand action for Cuba’s children.

@codepinkalert This should outrage every American. Instead of investigating ICE violence in Minneapolis, the Trump administration launched “Operation Puppet Master” to infiltrate and surveil the people protesting it. We’ve seen this playbook before. Civil rights activists were surveilled. Anti-war movements were infiltrated. Martin Luther King Jr. was targeted by the FBI. Peaceful dissent is not a crime. Standing up for your neighbors is not a crime. An injury to one is an injury to all. This must be stopped.
