This week we confronted Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin as he exited a House hearing. He is the SECRETARY OF GENOCIDE! The blood is on his hands!

This week, we joined our friends at Puentes de Amor to deliver over the counter medicines and powdered milk to medical centers, senior centers, and orphanages in Cuba. The 60+ year U.S. blockade impedes access to such essentials.

@codepinkalert Last night we took to Rep. Ted Lieu's fundraiser in LA to protest for a ceasefire and an end to U.S. military aid to Israel. Maybe if he listened to his constituents more than his donors, he'd actually be working to end the genocide in Gaza. Lieu has taken $258,882 from pro-Israel groups since beginning his Congressional career.

@codepinkalert We cannot stop thinking about the women in Gaza. It is unconscionable for our so-called “progressive” leaders to campaign on reproductive justice and women’s rights at home while they subject Palestinian women and girls to daily nightmares. As mothers, daughters, women, and feminists, we demand reproductive justice for women everywhere. Find more info on how you can join us on IWD at codepink.org/iwd2024 (link in bio).

@codepinkalert When we asked Rep. Meuser about how he's working to end the genocide in Gaza, he offered no real answers and called Gazans "animalistic." From the Knesset to Capitol Hill, racism is driving support for Israel's genocide in Gaza.

@codepinkalert Rep. Carbajal, who took $73k from the military industrial complex in just one election cycle, refuses to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Even as most of the country, including his constituents in the Central Coast Antiwar Coalition, call for a ceasefire, he’s instead pushing a bill to deny food, water, and medicine to Gaza by defunding UNRWA and another to give Israel billions more in weapons to carry out their massacres. Shame!

@codepinkalert "YOU KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO END THE BLOCKADE IN THE RED SEA" Today, our co-director Danaka disrupted a Senate hearing on "Yemen and Red Sea Security Issues." While the U.S. continues attacks on Yemen in response to the Red Sea blockade, Senators met to discuss authorizing more attacks, even though they could end the blockade tomorrow by ending support for Israel's genocide in Gaza. Some Senators were upset about Biden's airstrikes, not because they were dangerous escalations which endanger Americans and Yemenis alike, but because they wanted to be the ones authorizing them. While they opened the hearing in remembrance of service members who have been killed, they made no mention of Aaron Bushnell, the 25 year old active duty U.S. Airman who lit himself on fire at the Israeli Embassy on Sunday in protest of the genocide in Gaza.
