Tell PBS to reinstate Dr. Kuhn's documentary! Don't be afraid of the truth! |
Dear friend,
Robert Kuhn, an award-winning documentary filmmaker, author of 25 books, and businessman went to China to hear directly from the people. He wanted to learn how they were alleviating poverty and share it with audiences in the United States. The documentary he produced and wrote for PBS has been pulled.
Tell PBS to reinstate the documentary, Voices from the Frontline: China’s War on Poverty.
The documentary reveals the 5 paths out of poverty and the 5 levels of government that oversee the process. Once you see it, you can better understand what it means to alleviate poverty and what was in place so they could shut down COVID so quickly. Robert Kuhn takes us through all the steps in a very intimate view of China. The mission of PBS is to "expand the view of the world through diverse voices". Why would they censor an authentic and forthright portrayal of poverty alleviation in China? Learning how China was able to lift 100 million people out of poverty is the perfect example of “using media to educate, inspire, entertain and express a diversity of perspectives”.
Tell PBS they are impoverishing their audience by denying them access to this view into how China functions.
Tomorrow, join us for another episode of China Is Not Our Enemy with special guest Rob Kajiwara, the founder of Peace for Okinawa. Rob will share his experiences as an Okinawan both with China and the United States.
Onwards to peace & equality,
Alice, Angela, Jan, Jodie, Liz, Stephen, Glen, Rob, and all of CODEPINK
