As you all know, we have been calling on the Center for Reproductive Rights (CFRR) to stand up for Palestine in their work and messaging. One of our asks is for them to uplift two recently released reports: one on Gaza's declining birth rate, and the other on Israelβs systemic sexual violence against Palestinians. Both reports expose a horrific truth: Israel is using sexual and reproductive abuse as a tool of genocide.
Over 3,100 of you signed our petition, and we attempted to deliver it to CFRR's headquarters in New York earlier this week, but they wouldn't come down to take it. We called, left messages, and sent emails to multiple people at the CFRR to schedule an appointment fo delivery, but we were met with silence.
We haven't heard back from them since we launched this campaign over a month ago, and it raises the question: What is so scary about shedding light on Israel's vile actions? The Zionist state has utilized the most gruesome forms of abuse to dehumanize Palestinians. Are the crimes of sexual abuse, torture, enslavement, and reproductive genocide to be glossed over when Palestinians are the victims? If that is the case, the Center for Reproductive Rights needs to look back on its own mission statement and re-evaluate how well it's holding to its own values:
If Palestinians aren't included in their messaging, they are butchering the name of feminism. Send a letter directly to their board and/or staff members, and urge them to stand with Palestine!
News & Analysis
ππΌ The Washington Post and CNN have both released bombshell reports that reveal warmongering actions of the Trump Administration. WaPo recently reported that the U.S. government is lying about how many service members have actually died in the illegal war on Iran. Additionally, CNN has released intel that the U.S. was ready to go to war with China because of an overreliance on AI, which misled the military into thinking a Chinese ship had nuclear weapons on it. In response to this reporting, Trump angrily said he is going to ban both news outlets. We are seeing the rise in techno-fascism as actual truthful journalism is suppressed.
ππΌ The Paramount-Warner Bros. merger was settled then brought back to court. In July, a federal lawsuit backed by 11 states began to stop the monopolization of our media, but Zionist organizations like Friends of the IDF have since intervened. This added political pressure to settle the lawsuit and allow the merger to go through, but a federal judge paused it once more. The monopolization efforts by the billionaires and the Trump administration are integral to the pro-Israel movement, and they will do anything for further control. We have to keep the pressure and stand with the Block the Merger movement now more than ever!
ππΌ According to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, conditions for women in Israeli prisons are the worst they have ever been. While in prison, women are being mocked by Israeli officials like Itamar Ben Gvir, forced to give birth in unsanitary and overcrowded conditions, and are being denied basic human rights, like food and medical care.

CODEPINK Chicago with Medea
Working on this campaign has made me think a lot about how different types of women are viewed in our society. And the more you keep peeling back the layers and going deeper, the more painful it gets. Patriarchy and racism have managed to seep their way into our everyday life, whether that is an organization's politics or some person's subconscious way of thinking.
I know I can't be the sole person to solve all the problems patriarchy has made for our society β and that it is so deep-rooted that it can't be unlearned in a day. But I do know that with the efforts of the amazing feminists I have come to know during my time at CODEPINK, this work is being done slowly but surely, with heart and grit.
Until liberation,

P.S. Organizers with CODEPINK San Diego have been named in a lawsuit for their activism for Palestinian human rights. They independently started a fundraiser to support their defense and the fight against Zionist lawfare. Donations to their fundraiser are not tax-deductible charitable contributions, as they are not going to CODEPINK or another 501(c)(3) nonprofit, but to an independent fundraiser.
