No War on China! Tell Your Member of Congress to Keep Militarism & Xenophobia out of the USICA!

Congress and media pundits are claiming the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act of 2021 (USICA) is simply a research and technology investment bill, but what they are counting on the public to not notice is that this bill would allocate over $10.8 B to military spending for the Asia-Pacific region, increase excess missile and weapons transfers to regional partners, and fuel domestic xenophobia and racism through McCarthyist surveillance provisions and propaganda funding!

Now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are trying to push this bill through Congress as quickly as possible. We can't let that happen!

Using the tools below, please contact your Member of Congress NOW to urge them to remove these dangerous provisions from the USICA! Read our action alert on the USICA here.

Thanks for providing me the opportunity to call out this massive waste of taxpayer money to further enrich the WORST “foreign policy” and encouragement to warmongering. My hope is that enough of us get them to listen. It’s funny how quick we are to shame individuals, songs, films, but when our nation engages repeatedly in wasteful and murderous war mongering on a grand scale many just tune out.

Okay, guys, enough. My account user name is Citizen. My real name appears in the comments. We need so much vigilance these days to keep our privacy; I am disappointed to need it here with my sisters.

FYI, I did not sign the … petition? letter? There was no text, so I did not know what I was signing. Trusting CodePink is not enough.

I also balked at supplying OneClickPolitics with my phone number. CodePink, an organization I have admired for their many years of service, does not ask for phone numbers when setting up an account, which I did in order to leave this comment. Hope subsequent alerts do not set off my alarms!

Sending a letter to my three federal-level “representatives” is like screaming into the wind, unfortunately.

Schumer and Pelosi, if you two back-benchers vote for this damn bill you should be in the front ranks of the cannon fodder we send to fight your goddamn endless wars!
