CODEPINK San Pedro, San Pedro Neighbors for Peace, and LA4Assange&FreePress Hold Weekly Vigil for Peace
San Pedro, CA — CODEPINK San Pedro, in partnership with San Pedro Neighbors for Peace and LA4Assange&FreePress, will convene for their weekly Ceasefire NOW Rally in front of the SouthBay Galleria on Sunday. This ongoing gathering serves as a call for peace and demands an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Week after week, concerned citizens have assembled to hold vigil and advocate for an end to the violence in Gaza. With the majority of the American public supporting a ceasefire, there is growing pressure for the United States to adhere to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling and halt all funding and military assistance contributing to the ongoing genocide in Gaza perpetrated by Israel.
While protests, rallies, and vigils are commonplace in major cities nationwide, grassroots activism is also thriving in smaller communities. CODEPINK San Pedro remains steadfast in their commitment to continue their weekly vigil until a permanent ceasefire is achieved.
