9th Annual LA Harbor Peace Week: Uniting Communities for Peace Amidst "Fleet Week"
SAN PEDRO, CA - From May 23 to May 27, 2024, CODEPINK San Pedro and San Pedro Neighbors For Peace and Justice will transform the waterfront into a hub of peaceful activism as it hosts the 9th Annual LA Harbor Peace Week. This week-long event aims to counter the normalization and promotion of war during the US military's "L.A. Fleet Week."
"Peace Week is a week of peace activities at the San Pedro Waterfront resisting the normalization and promotion of war during the US military's 'L.A. Fleet Week,'" said Rachel Brunkhe, CODEPINK organizer.
Bringing together families, students, and individuals from all walks of life, the 9th Annual LA Harbor Peace Week offers five days of diverse peace actions. From car caravans to press conferences, from flyering to memorial services, the event lineup promises something for everyone committed to the cause of peace.
