CODEPINK Announces Peace Week 2024 Events in NYC, Leading to International Peace Day

New York, NY — CODEPINK, in partnership with the e Inspire Change initiative, is set to host a series of events during Peace Week 2024, culminating in International Peace Day, September 21. The week-long program will focus on the transformative power of music, arts, and creative practices inbuilding community, healing and advocating for social change, especially in light of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

  • 1:00 PM (EDT):: Press Conference at the United Nations

  • 1:15 PM (EDT):: March to the Israeli UN Mission at 42nd and 2nd Avenue. CODEPINK and allies will call on UN member states to utilize the Uniting for Peace resolution to enforce international law against Israel, including the imposition of economic sanctions and an arms trade embargo.

September 21: March for Peace - International Peace Day

  • 3:00 PM / 5:00 PM (EDT):: March for Peace, Justice, Love, and Freedom. As world leaders gather at the United Nations in New York City, CODEPINK and Inspire Change will lead a march, rallying socially conscious artists, activists, healers, spiritual leaders, and grassroots movements to advocate for global peace and justice.

These events will serve as a platform for discussing the urgent need for peace, particularly as the genocide in Gaza nears one year of escalating violence and destruction. CODEPINK invites all who believe in the power of arts and collective action to join in these crucial efforts to inspire change and foster a more peaceful world.
