Peace Organizations to Protest Congressman Brian Mast's Complicity in Israel's Genocide
STUART, FL - CODEPINK, along with other peace organizations, is set to stage a protest outside Congressman Brian Mast's office to denounce his complicity and support of Israel's actions in Gaza. The demonstration will take place on April 23, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM, at 171 SW Flagler Ave, Stuart, FL 34994.
The purpose of this protest is to challenge Congressman Brian Mast's inflammatory remarks and extreme legislative proposals regarding Israel's actions in Gaza. We aim to highlight the genocide in Gaza and demand accountability and solidarity with the victims of Palestine.
"We are protesting Brian Mast because there's been a genocide going on for seven months, a man-made famine that our country is responsible for. As a part of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, he has a big say in us being able to stop this. Instead of trying to reinstate aid to UNRWA, support our education and healthcare systems, he spends money abroad bombing children,” explained protest organizer Ally Capecci. “The plain and simple fact is Israel is a settler-colonial state. It has been; it always will be. He could be doing so much more to support those it oppresses. Instead he just contributes to the dehumanization and genocide of people. He is a part of the problem,” she continued.

This protest is part of a series of actions organized by constituents of Mast in response his unconditional support for the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
