CODEPINK Las Vegas to Host Community Cooking: Food For Liberation Event
LAS VEGAS -- CODEPINK Las Vegas will host a "Food For Liberation" event on Sept. 27 to assemble meals for 50 individuals, which Las Vegas Liberation will distribute. The event is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Nevada Desert Experience house, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
The initiative aims to provide nourishing meals to community members in need, emphasizing solidarity and support. Organizers plan to prepare and distribute the meals during the designated hours, fostering a sense of community and mutual aid.
CODEPINK Las Vegas is a local chapter of CODEPINK, a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting peace and social justice. The chapter regularly leads community service projects, including peace vigils and educational events.
