Local Peace Economy Internship

The Local Peace Economy Project is seeking a part-time intern to work remotely with the Local Peace Economy Coordinator to support a number of on-going projects.


Proposed projects include:

  • Airtable database maintenance and augmentation in our Local Peace Economy Ecosystem.
  • Creating short (1 minute) “snippet” videos of educational and instructive videos to share on IG.
  • Canva Design work
  • Writing short articles on Peace Economy projects featured in our Ecosystem.

The successful applicant would have most of these qualifications:

  • The ability to work remotely and without direct supervision.
    • You will need a computer, reliable internet, good cell service, time-management skills, and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner without having daily in-person supervision.. 
  • An interest in alternative “peace” economics and the desire to learn more.
    • Course work is not strictly necessary, but would definitely be a bonus.
  • Basic Video-editing and social media skills.
  • Good writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with using either Airtable and Canva is a bonus, but not required.

Compensation & Credit:

These positions are unpaid. We strongly encourage applicants to seek credit at their university.

Location:

The intern can be based anywhere in the world and have flexible hours every week, but must be available during some working hours in the US Eastern time zone.

Commitment:

Beginning and ending dates for the internship can be flexible and will be individually negotiated.
