CODEPINK and Justice for Palestine Campaign LA to Hold Demonstration Urging Congressman Ted Lieu to Demand Gaza Ceasefire
Los Angeles, CA - On Tuesday, November 21st, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, CODEPINK and the Justice for Palestine Campaign LA will stage a demonstration at the office of Congressman Ted Lieu, Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus and a member of the Foreign Relations Committee. The event will take place at the West L.A. Library located at 11360 Santa Monica Blvd., 90025.
The primary aim of this demonstration is to appeal to Congressman Ted Lieu to intervene and halt the ongoing crisis in Gaza by actively advocating for an immediate ceasefire. As a former military instructor specializing in the "rules of war," Lieu is well aware of international law and can clearly see that war crimes are openly being committed by Israel.
Quoting Lieu's own words, "Denying the humanity of civilians caught in the middle of war is morally repugnant," constituents are calling upon him to align his actions with his own principles. Over 100,000 lives have already been lost due to the bombardment in Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need for Lieu to exercise his political influence and demand an end to this devastating conflict.
