CODEPINK LA and Palestinian Feminist Collective Unite for International Women's Day, Calling for Ceasefire and Reproductive Justice in Palestine
Los Angeles, CA - CODEPINK LA will join the Palestinian Feminist Collective on International Women's Day for a march and rally. Together, we stand in solidarity against genocide in Gaza and advocate for a ceasefire and reproductive justice in Palestine.
The day includes a short march, inspiring speeches, and the opportunity to participate in collective art creation. This family-friendly event will also feature activities for children.
WHEN: March 8, 2024 at 2-5 pm (PST)
WHERE: Cheviot Hills Park, 2459 Motor Ave, Los Angeles
Specific details about the march route and rally stops are not public for safety reasons. We invite all those who support peace, justice, and women's rights to join us in the streets.
The event is part of CODEPINK's nationwide International Women's Day campaign designed to unite women's struggles at home and in Palestine by centering reproductive justice internationally. While Biden is bypassing Congress to bomb Gaza and create a devastating reproductive justice nightmare for women there, he is refusing to take unilateral action on reproductive justice here in the US, while continuing to deny care to refugees, displaced people and asylum seekers.
CODEPINK LA demands an end to the violence in Gaza and strives for a future where reproductive justice is a reality for all women in Palestine and around the world.
