United Caravan from Long Beach to LA to Raise Awareness about Global Genocides
Long Beach, CA – A united caravan will travel from Long Beach to Los Angeles to bring awareness to the genocides occurring around the world. The caravan aims to reach as many people as possible, raising visibility and educating the public about these critical issues.
The event will feature cars decorated with flags of countries currently facing genocide, as well as flags of nations supporting these oppressed communities. Vehicles will also display facts, such as estimated numbers of martyrs and information on how these genocides are being funded.
When: August 3, 2024, 12:00 PM
Where: Starting Point TBD
"This event is crucial for reaching a larger audience and educating our community," said Glo, SELA CODEPINK organizer. "The news media often censors the reality of global atrocities, and the public needs to know what is happening and how we contribute to the oppression and genocide of other communities, including our own. Events like these are essential for removing the blindfolds of those unaware of governmental actions affecting humanity. It's time for Americans to wake up, understand the situation, and learn how we can unite to stop and change it."
The caravan will include participants from diverse ethnic backgrounds, speaking a variety of languages. Masks are recommended for all attendees.
