CODEPINK and Other Peace Organizations to Protest Congresswoman Norma J. Torres’ Support for Israel's Ongoing Genocide in Gaza
Ontario, CA - On Wednesday, June 24, 2024, community activists will gather to protest Congresswoman Norma J. Torres' recent support for Israeli’s genocide in Gaza. This demonstration comes in response to her meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu and advocating for continued U.S. arms shipments to Israel.
“Congresswoman Torres, representing District 35, is complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people of Gaza, and her constituents demand she call for an immediate ceasefire. Constituents will gather to voice strong opposition to actions tantamount to genocide against Palestinians. The protest will coincide with Prime Minister Netanyahu's scheduled speech in Washington, D.C., aiming to send a clear message of dissent against Torres' alignment with Israeli policies,” said a CODEPINK Inland Empire organizer.

Where: 10 FWY and Dudley St. overpass. Meet at Denny’s and walk over with signs and flags.
Organized by CODEPINK Inland Empire, Ontario United For Liberation, SoCal 4 Ceasefire, and Chino Valley 4 Palestinian Liberation, the protest will feature a large banner calling out Congresswoman Torres for her stance.
Organizers encourage community members to join in solidarity to express their disapproval and demand accountability from their elected representative, Norma Torres. This event aims to highlight concerns over U.S. foreign policy and its implications for the rights of Palestinians.
Masks are strongly suggested as COVID-19 cases are on the rise.
