MEDIA ADVISORY: CODEPINK Members Among Those Slated to Speak at Feds United for Peace Press Conference Outside White House
Washington, D.C. — May 14, 2024 — Members of the CODEPINK D.C. are scheduled to speak at a press conference tomorrow, May 15th, at 10:00 AM EST, outside the White House. This press conference, held by Feds United for Peace, aims to bring attention to the growing disapproval among federal employees of Biden administration's unwavering support of Israel's war genocide in Gaza.
The press conference will also serve as a platform to commemorate the Nakba and express solidarity with those affected by the ongoing crisis in besieged Gaza.
Speakers:
- Ann Wright - Retired US Army Colonel and former US diplomat who resigned from the State Department in protest of the Iraq War.
- Pua Ali K. Lum - Retired FFA employee, Navy Veteran, Lifetime Veteran for Peace member, and full-time humanitarian rights advocate.
- Michael Marceau - US Army Veteran medically retired due to critical injuries from a rocket attack in Vietnam and a member of Veterans for Peace.
- Annelle Sheline - Former Foreign Affairs officer at the State Department who resigned over the Biden administration's unconditional support for Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
- Ayah Ziyadeh - Palestinian-American human rights scholar, Advocacy Director for American Muslims, and Americans for Justice in Palestine Action.
