CODEPINK Coachella Valley Chapter to Hold Silent Vigil in Downtown Palm Springs During VillageFest
Palm Springs, CA –– The CODEPINK Coachella Valley Chapter will host a silent vigil in downtown Palm Springs during the city’s popular VillageFest on Thursday, October 3, at 6:00 PM. The vigil is part of a nationwide mobilization by peace groups marking the one-year anniversary of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The vigil organizer, Arcelia Castillo, calls for public awareness and action: "Our government is funding and backing a genocide and the targeting of civilians both in Palestine and in Lebanon. As Americans, it is our duty to stand up against these violations of international law and not support those responsible."
CODEPINK Coachella Valley invites community members to join the silent vigil and stand in solidarity with those affected by the violence in Gaza and Lebanon. The event aims to bring attention to the role of U.S. foreign policy in the ongoing conflicts and the urgent need for justice and peace in the region.
