CODEPINK LA to Protest at Rep. Brad Sherman's Office During Telephone Town Hall
Los Angeles, CA – CODEPINK LA will hold a protest at the office of Representative Brad Sherman at 5000 Van Nuys Blvd in the San Fernando Valley on July 25th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The protest coincides with Sherman’s telephone town hall, which is being held instead of an in-person town hall, thereby avoiding direct confrontation over his support of extremist Zionist policies.
Brad Sherman is prioritizing Israel’s interests over those of America, and Introducing legislation that aims to stifle and criminalize criticism of Israel. The protest demands that Sherman take immediate action to end the genocide in Gaza and cease all financial and military support to Israel.
Details of the Protest:
- Location: 5000 Van Nuys Blvd, San Fernando Valley
- Time: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
- Date: July 25, 2024
Protesters will express their dissent through various signs, including:
- “Stop putting Israel before America”
- “No phone town halls. Meet us face to face!”
- “Stop criminalizing criticism of Israel”
- “Zionism Isn’t Judaism”
- “End the Genocide in Gaza”
- “You Work For US - NOT Israel”
“We urge everyone who stands for justice and human rights to join us in demanding accountability from our elected representatives,” said CODEPINK LA organizer, Linda Milazzo. “Brad Sherman must face his constituents and address our concerns directly.”
