You would think then that P!NK would care about the Palestinians living under Israeli bombs who have lost loved ones and homes. Yet that's not the case. Over the weekend, P!NK shared an Instagram post from StopAntisemitism slamming Macklemore for his pro-Palestine comments at a recent concert. That's right, she called out Macklemore for speaking up, as she once did, for the children and innocent civilians murdered by the war machine.
As a self-proclaimed feminist and human rights advocate, P!NK should be following Macklemore's lead. Instead, she's upholding Zionism — and smearing those who speak out for the oppressed.

👉🏼 Haaretz just published a report revealing that Netanyahu was warned about October 7th days before it happened. And despite the warnings, he did nothing. After the attacks, Hamas offered up all the Israeli hostages, but Netanyahu decided not to agree to the deal. We now have confirmation of what we suspected all along: the genocide in Gaza was manufactured so Israel could justify the full-scale ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.
👉🏼 Twelve countries, including the U.K., France, and Canada, have sanctioned illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. These are measures we have never seen taken before, made possible by all those organizing in the Palestine solidarity movement. In response, Israel has announced that it will close the U.K. consulate in Jerusalem and ban several U.K. parliament members.
👉🏼 Israeli soldiers and settlers continue to destroy the West Bank's infrastructure to displace and kill Palestinians. In Jenin, greenhouses, commercial buildings, farms, and agricultural sites are being demolished. In Bethlehem, settlers have set up tents to intimidate and blockade Palestinians.
Personal note from Jenin
I grew up listening to people like P!NK. I'll never forget watching her "F**kin' Perfect" music video over and over again because I loved the song and its message so much: be kind to people, as you never know what they're going through. Many years later, that artist, who once advocated compassion, now stands for genocide and war.
Unfortunately, many artists fall into the trap of selective activism. At some point, promoting human rights becomes a performance and a cash deal. I like to remind myself always to uplift artists who, despite lost deals or bad publicity, continue to stand with Palestine and/or are Palestinian themselves. Music and art are so integral to our movement — and we need to support those on the right side of history.
