End Sanctions! End US Imperialism! ICE Out! This IWWD, we are uplifting that the cost of war, sanctions and US militarism disproportionately affects women here in the belly of the beast and all across the world. We call on you to embrace a feminist outlook that includes women in Cuba, in Venezuela, in Palestine, women and families separated by ICE here in the US. We live in a country that gives over a trillion dollars to fund wars, military bases, and occupations that harm women and communities around the world; feminist values require us to be in solidarity with them!
For our sisters all over the world, it’s time we divest from war and militarism and invest in our communities! Take these messages to a local IWWD event or plan one of your own! We are here to help!
And join us and other anti-war feminist organizations in calling for the immediate release of Cilia Flores!

IWWD and CODEPINK History
After the founding of CODEPINK in 2002, on IWWD 2003, 10,000 women marched from MLK Jr. Park to the White House to protest the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Since then we have showed up each International Working Women's Day to show the disproportionate rates at which war and militarism affect women everywhere. Twenty-three years later, CODEPINK stays steadfast in protesting our ever expanding War Budget, the hundreds of US Military bases worldwide and the US economic sanctions we see affect women and children everyday.
