Voices from the Frontlines: China’s War on Poverty is a documentary directed by award-winning Peter Getzels, co-produced by PBS-SoCal with a foundation led by China expert Robert Lawrence Kuhn. The National PBS took down the documentary, depriving American audience the opportunity to gain insight of how China lifted 800 million people out of poverty, all the while homelessness and poverty rampages in the US.
We invite you to host a screening of the documentary in your community, a local bookstore, and even your home to start a conversation about China's success in poverty alleviation. Sign up to let us know you are hosting a screening and get access to a toolkit we created to help you plan an educational event!
