Black, Latino & Arab Unity Against Imperialism

Untitled_design_(84).png

As the crisis of imperialism deepens, so must our solidarity against it. After one year of a live-streamed genocide in Palestine and mounting resistance to it, the mask of imperialism is falling—whether in Sudan, the Congo, or here in the United States. Mass consciousness is being raised, drawing attention to our overlapping and intersecting forms of oppression.

If our oppression intersects, then so too must our strategies for collective liberation. Chicago, home to large Black, Latino, and Arab communities, has long been a battleground of imperialism’s violence, exploitation, and repression. In the spirit of Chairman Fred Hampton Sr., we must recognize that "we don't fight fire with fire best; we fight fire with water best... we’re not going to fight capitalism with Black capitalism, but we’re going to fight it with socialism." Our solidarity must be rooted in genuine unity—a joint struggle against the forces of racism, capitalism, and imperialism.

Join us for a community forum in a "fishbowl" style, where we will come together for an open dialogue on the necessity of building Black-Latino-Arab solidarity. Together, we will explore our shared histories and political realities, and discuss how to strengthen the bonds of unity essential for defeating imperialism and building a new world.

This is a free event. Food will be provided. Masks will be available on site.
