You are not here to help them or save them; you are here to learn from them.” — Edgard Gouveia Jr.
Daily Practice: As we move out into our communities to address the issues that suffer from the war economy, mind the words of Edgard. He goes into communities, listens to their dreams and in a week he creates what they need from what is already present in their community. Take the time today to find a place of struggle in your community and listens to the dreams of those at the affect of the struggle. In my community, it is the 1000 homeless youth that needed a safe place which has now grown to accommodate their dreams and needs. The problem doesn’t create the solution; the dreams do. Listen to the dreams.
