CODEPINK's Jodie Evans Disrupts DNC Convention with Free Palestine Message
CHICAGO - CODEPINK co-founder Jodie Evans disrupted the second night of the Democratic National Convention with a Free Free Palestine message when Barack Obama took the stage. She was drugged out by security.
"A majority of the Democratic party are prioritizing the demands of a foreign entity — Israel — over the interests of the U.S. population, due to the powerful influence of the pro-Israel lobby. A majority of Americans don't want to fund the genocide in Gaza and the illegal occupation of Palestine - they want healthcare, housing security, education, and protection from the deadly climate crisis." said Evans.
Today, CODEPINK members disrupted Illinois Democrats brunch at Wrigley Field, Gov. Tim Walz at the DNC Women's Caucus meeting, and an Axios-hosted event featuring Sen. Chuck Schumer.
We will continue disrupting business as usual throughout the DNC, bringing our message of peace and justice and a demand for a free Palestine.
