Hey, DFW! Join CODEPINK Dallas Metro on May 9th at 11:00am for a pre-Mother’s Day demonstration to educate and advocate for peace; support our refugee community, and break bread together.
We’ll meet at the entrance to the Mockingbird DART transit station to display our pro-peace signs and banners, make our voices heard, give a public reading of the Mother’s Day Proclamation, pass out flyers, and hear about our CODEPINK Dallas chapter’s support project for refugee survivors of war and torture, and collect essential supplies for these families. If you’d like, please bring eco-friendly diapers, pull-ups, baby wipes or monetary donations (appreciated but not required) and a smile!
If time permits, a stroll down to the Mockingbird Lane bridge over Central Expressway with our banners and signs will be an option.
For those who’d like to join afterwards, we’ll be following up with a gathering at a nearby café to share a meal, share ideas, and enjoy community together.
