CODEPINK DC to Join March for Palestine on October 10 As Part of Global Day of Action
WASHINGTON – CODEPINK DC, along with Feminist Generation and Palestinian Feminist Collective, will join a feminist contingent this Saturday, October 10, 2026, as thousands take to the streets for a March for Palestine led by the Palestinian Youth Movement. The march commemorates three years since Israel's genocide in Gaza. It aims to remind the public of the ongoing humanitarian crisis the U.S. government supports and sustains.
- WHEN: Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm EDT
- WHERE: The Capitol, Independence Ave & 1st SE
A Community Commemoration will be held at Dar Al Hirriya, 650 Pennsylvania Ave SE, after the march from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Washington, D.C., is one of many cities nationwide participating in a global day of action to challenge political and economic complicity and demand accountability for war crimes and human rights violations committed over the past three years and continuing today.
The October 10 mobilizations place the deadly genocide and occupation back in the media spotlight with synchronized protests across continents. Public solidarity for Palestinian rights has reached historic levels globally since 2023; however, diplomatic inaction and the illusion of a ceasefire have allowed the humanitarian situation to persist unchecked. The nationwide marches and actions on the 10th reflect the collective call for justice and an end to the ongoing genocide amid political silence.
