What is the International Convergence in Havana?
The International Convergence in Havana is a coordinated gathering of solidarity delegations arriving on March 21, 2026. Participants will travel primarily by air, and some by sea, bringing humanitarian aid and demonstrating people-to-people solidarity.
Is it legal for U.S. residents to travel to Cuba?
Yes. Travel to Cuba is legal under 12 categories authorized by U.S. regulations. Our participation falls under Educational Activities and Support for the Cuban People.
Do I need special permission from the U.S. government?
No special license is required if you are traveling under one of the authorized categories. We will provide guidance on how to properly document your travel purpose.
What humanitarian aid can I bring?
Travelers are encouraged to bring essential supplies such as:
- Food staples: rice, lentils, powdered milk, baby formula
- Over-the-counter medicines: pain relievers, antihistamines, gauze
- Energy supplies: flashlights, batteries, solar chargers
A detailed packing guide will be provided before departure.
When should I arrive in Havana?
All delegations will gather on March 21, 2026. We recommend arriving by March 20 to ensure full participation. The CODEPINK delegation runs March 20–24.
What will happen on March 21?
Delegations from different cities and countries will gather in Havana in a coordinated public act of solidarity. Participants will meet, document the convergence, and demonstrate international support through presence and humanitarian aid.
Do I have to join the CODEPINK delegation?
No. You can join the CODEPINK delegation, organize your own delegation, or travel independently under an authorized category. All participants are welcome to converge in Havana on March 21, and we will support you every step of the way with guidance, resources, and coordination.
Where should I stay in Havana?
If you join the CODEPINK delegation, lodging will be coordinated through our partner.
If you organize your own delegation, you may stay in licensed guesthouses (casas particulares) or hotels.
