This week, we’re taking bold action in Congress to challenge reckless military spending and demand policies that prioritize people over war. From fighting against Trump’s proposed $9 billion in aid to Israel to pushing for major cuts to the bloated Pentagon budget, we’ll be making our voices heard in key hearings, press conferences, and rallies.
Tuesday: Meet at 10 AM in Dirksen Cafeteria for office visits opposing Trump’s $9B to Israel, followed by a press conference at noon in Dirksen G50 on the urgent need to cut Pentagon spending. Later, we’ll join the American Federation of Government Employees’ rally outside the Senate to defend civil service protections.
Wednesday: Meet at 9:30 AM outside 2247 Rayburn for a House hearing on government waste, where we’ll push lawmakers to target Pentagon bloat instead of vital social programs.
Thursday: Meet at 9:30 AM in Dirksen 419 for a Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Syria, where we’ll advocate for an end to devastating U.S. sanctions. The day will continue with office visits and bird-dogging to demand a shift in U.S. policy.
