COP26: CODEPINK Urges Climate Talks to Include War and Conflict

CODEPINK releases list of expert speakers who can help explain the connections between climate change, war, and conflict

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 1, 2021 -- In the lead-up to November's UN climate talks in Glasgow, Scotland, the US peace organization CODEPINK has assembled an ensemble of activists, journalists, researchers, veterans, and academics who can talk to the press/media about the connections between climate change, war, and conflict. Our speakers can appear in-person or virtually, depending on needs and logistics.

"COP26 must not pass by without world leaders coming to grips with the massive climate damage done by war and conflict," says Nancy Mancias, CODEPINK campaign organizer. "We will do what we can to educate the public about the environmental destruction brought on by military greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions."
