
Remote position, based in USA, with some domestic travel periodically.

CODEPINK is hiring a Campaign Assistant to support and carry out administrative work across our campaigns, including coalition coordination, petition and action follow-up, and creating and ordering visuals for demonstrations. This assistant will work directly with campaign managers to help execute and advance campaign strategies. They will also develop educational materials, tools, and ladders of engagement for both local leaders and individual activists. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in long-term grassroots campaign organizing.
Areas of focus are Iran, Palestine, Cuba; this is subject to change based on organizational priorities.
Job Duties:
Admin team support
- Manage travel details for delegations.
- Updating Airtable.
- Attend staff meetings, taking meeting minutes.
Website support
- Create petition pages and other web pages for campaigners.
- Update campaign/petition pages to ensure they are up to date for people visiting our site.
- Draft write-ups for campaign wins/reflective updates on campaign work.
- Format petition deliveries for campaigners and order petition delivery materials.
Campaign support
- Attend campaign meetings.
- Follow up with campaigners and relevant staff on action items decided at campaign/staff calls and pick up what is dropped.
- Build community with working groups.
- Assist work working groups and help manage the people within the groups, delegating and following up on tasks.
- Coalition outreach for sign on letters or coalition-wide campaign launches.
- Help campaigners communicate national campaigns to volunteers.
- Update campaign project documents daily with progress/changes in direction.
- Research for various projects.
- Draft video scripts or social media blurbs for campaigners/social media team.
Must Have the Following Qualifications:
Campaign Expertise
- Volunteer organizing experience in campaigns.
- Excellent knowledge of the peace movement and US foreign policy
- Some experience strategizing campaigns and working in coalition, and both online and in-person organizing, with a demonstrated understanding of how to drive people to take action through online and in-person engagement
- Proven track record of successful event planning
- Collaborative team player with excellent project management skills
Technical & Communication
- Creative thinker and strategist, media savvy, with an eye for designing and presenting engaging online content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience creating content for e-blasts, petitions, blogs, flyers and educational material
- Solid computer skills; experience with email programs like mailchimp, updating web pages like wordpress/NationBuilder/ActionNetwork, basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva, managing Zoom webinars and calls, and social media channels.
- Experience with spreadsheets such as Google sheets, entering and managing data
- Must have a working computer and reliable internet connection, with the ability to work remotely

- Excellent attention to detail and self-organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage details, work independently, and follow through with a minimum of direct supervision, without the need for reminders
- Able to work outside of business hours when necessary for rapid response and special events
