This summer, communities across the US joined together for a Summer of Peace and Love.
During these difficult times, it can feel impossible to imagine another way forward. We are told that competition is inevitable, that military domination keeps us safe, that technology controlled by billionaires will save us, and that ordinary people are powerless to change the direction of society.
But history tells a different story.
This is a profoundly unifying moment. People fighting to stop war and militarism are fighting the same systems as those trying to stop climate collapse, corporate exploitation, mass surveillance, and the reckless expansion of AI technologies that consume enormous amounts of energy and water while concentrating power in fewer and fewer hands. These struggles are connected.
For all of August 2026, we joined together and established summer camps nationwide, each organized to be a living laboratory for the future we are trying to build.
