May 1st National Shutdown: Sonoma County

may_1_new_website_(1).png

Join CODEPINK Sonoma County on May 1st for "Shutdown the War Economy, Shutdown General Dynamics" at the General Dynamics facility in Healdsburg. We want GD out of Sonoma County. Join us to interrupt the war economy in Sonoma County! Yes to a peace economy that cares for people and planet!

General Dynamics, the fifth largest weapons company in the world, is in the business of killing, surveillance and detention. GD designs and manufactures guidance systems for 2,000 lb. bombs murdering civilians in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran, contracts with ICE and DHS to provide surveillance systems, and operates detention facilities caging children. We will ask GD workers to skip work on May Day.

We will die-in and vigil in remembrance of the children murdered by General Dynamics weapons. We will picket with colorful signs; hold a teach-in with experts; do street theater, have a sing-along. Bring your good dog and join the Pups for Peace brigade! Wear pink!

This is a peaceful, nonviolent, family, community, and dog-friendly action.
