Protect our Right to Protest in Washington, D.C.

Protest2018.jpg

Protesting in Washington, DC - in front of the White House and on the National Mall - is as American as apple pie. Now the Trump administration is now trying to severely limit our constitutional right to gather peacefully and petition for redress. If enacted, Trump’s plan would:

  • Close 80% of the White House sidewalk
  • Put new limits on spontaneous demonstrations
  • Initiate fee for protesting charges

The public has until October 15 to comment on Trump’s repressive plan to close down protesting in Washington, D.C. Send a message now to the National Park Service demanding our right to protest be protected.

For details of the proposed changes and what they would do, read from the ACLU.
