Pen Pals for Peace

Español abajo

We are launching Pen Pals for Peace Across the Americas: a beautiful new project connecting children in the United States with kids in Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.

At a time when politicians build walls and impose sanctions, our kids will build bridges. Through letters, drawings, and stories, they will share their daily lives, dreams, and cultures with one another.

How it works:

  • Parents and teachers sign up here.
  • After signing up, you’ll receive an email with step-by-step instructions, including where to send the letters and drawings.
  • Children will write a letter, create a drawing which will be photographed or scanned and sent by email.
  • Each child will be matched with a partner in Cuba, Nicaragua or Venezuela and will receive a reply.

This project is organized by CODEPINK, in collaboration with Friends of Latin America, America Without Sanctions, National Network on Cuba, and the Nicaragua Solidarity Coalition.
