Tell your representative to cosponsor bill to repeal the Muslim ban
Another tragic terrorist attack occurred on March 15, when a white supremacist attacked two mosques in New Zealand killing at least 49 Muslims during their Friday prayers. In his manifesto, the shooter claimed that he was inspired by the U.S. right-wing extremism and Donald Trump himself.
We are outraged by the hateful attacks our Muslims brothers and sisters face, reinforced by the White House and U.S. lawmakers.
In January 2017, one of Trump’s first executive orders was placing a Muslim ban that prevented people from seven majority Muslim countries from entering the U.S. There are two bills in Congress, H.R. 810 in the House and S. 246 in the Senate, that will prevent the use of any funds to implement Trump’s travel ban. Stand up for the worldwide Muslim community by telling your representatives to cosponsor the bills to repeal the Muslim ban.
OVERSEAS SUPPORTERS CAN SIGN THIS PETITION & WE WILL HAND DELIVER IT TO CONGRESS
I call on you to cosponsor H.R.810 and S.426. I am heartbroken and horrified by the terrorist attack in New Zealand that was inspired by anti-Muslim rhetoric made here in the U.S. by our President. I ask you to not only condemn these attacks on the Muslim community, but to take action and repeal the Muslim ban. This ban is discriminatory and only enforces the hate from right-wing extremists and white supremacy. I urge you to be a cosponsor of this bill and stand up against hate for our Muslim-American community.
