“We have all known the long loneliness and we have learned that the only solution is love and that love comes with community.” - Dorothy Day
Daily Practice: When was the last time you got together with your neighbors? Activism starts with those closest to you. Building relationships with your neighbors can be the salve to more than just loneliness and begins growing your local peace economy. Today reach out to a few neighbors, leave them a note, invite them to coffee, tea or a potluck meal to share what they think of growing a local peace economy. For extra impact, if you have time, add a flower or leaf from your garden, a drawing or an inspirational quote to the note.
