Venezuela has been devastated by the strongest earthquakes to strike the country in more than a century. More than 1,450 people have been killed, thousands have been injured, and tens of thousands remain missing or unaccounted for as rescue teams continue searching through the rubble
CODEPINK is partnering with trusted grassroots organizations on the ground to ensure your donation reaches affected communities directly. One of the communities in greatest need is Playa Grande, La Guaira, hardest hit by the earthquakes. Local organizers report that the most urgent need is medical supplies. At the same time, El Panal Commune in Caracas is preparing temporary shelter for displaced families while coordinating relief efforts and supporting surrounding communities.
