Did you know that sportswear manufacturer PUMA is the main sponsor for the Israeli Football Association (IFA)? The IFA maintains football clubs in illegal Jewish-only Israeli settlements in the West Bank. The IFA is in belligerent breach of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) regulations which prohibit member associations from holding competitions on occupied territory without permission. PUMA, by sponsoring the IFA, is enabling and normalizing Israel’s illegal settlements and violations of Palestinian human rights.
Over 200 Palestinian teams and athletes are calling for a boycott of PUMA! Join us and 200 Palestinian football teams as we boycott PUMA until they end their sponsorship of IFA in our week of action. During this week, CODEPINK activists around the country will protest outside of their local PUMA store. If you want to protest your local PUMA store, sign up here. We will connect you with a CODEPINK staff person and the resources to make this happen!
Not by a PUMA store? Send a message to PUMA that you are boycotting their products until they stand by their stated commitment to social justice by answering the call of Palestinian athletes and stop their sponsorship of IFA.
Already have PUMA gear? Transform your product by writing on it or placing a sign next to the logo to say “PUMA out of Palestine” and tweet us the picture.
If you are located in NYC, join our action outside of the Rockefeller Center PUMA location on October 26th at noon, more details here.
Thank you all for your support. We hope you join us in demanding justice for Palestine!
