Website & Media Coordinator — CODEPINK Congress & Peace in Ukraine Campaigns

Salary: $23 or more per hour depending on experience, with health benefits.

CODEPINK’s Website & Media Coordinator will work closely with CODEPINK staff, volunteers and coalition partners to provide technical, website and media support. 

You must be tech-savvy, a good writer, with strong attention to detail and have the ability to self-direct and problem-solve.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one-five years related experience; non-profit experience a plus.
  • Experienced with website content management tools such as NationBuilder or WordPress.
  • Experienced with email blasting tools such as constant contact or mailchimp.
  • Proficient in Zoom webinar tech support and management.
  • Proficiency with Google G Suite apps, Google Docs/Sheets/Forms, Google Groups, Canva and similar tools.
  • Ability to learn new software, tools and processes quickly; comfortable with self-advocacy when needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be a good editor and proof-read work thoroughly. 
  • Ability to quickly distill information to create event webpages, email invitations, flyers, social media shareables.
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule events, create invitations and follow-up.
  • Ability to develop effective work plans, organize details, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must not need reminders. Must be responsible, reliable, and follow up with tasks promptly. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical glitches and problem-solve.
  • Flexible to changing priorities and job responsibilities as the need arises.
  • Responsible and responsive to team needs.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

50% CODEPINK Congress Coordination:

  • Create event pages, action/petition pages, and archive webinars on our website.
  • Work with the Coordinator of CODEPINK Congress to format email blasts and social media posts promoting bimonthly Zoom calls on foreign policy and demilitarization.
  • Serve as the team expert on webinar tech and support.
  • Post each webinar on YouTube and select video clips for repurposing on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram etc.
  • Assist with creating promotional materials, flyers and graphics.
  • Manage the CODEPINK Congress website.
  • Manage the Google group and writers' listserv to keep CODEPINK Congress members aware of new opportunities for legislative action. Respond to inquiries.
  • Coordinate the CODEPINK Congress Liaison program to develop and communicate quarterly with point people in each congressional district to organize delegations and rallies for co-sponsorship of legislation. 

40% Peace in Ukraine Campaign Coordination:

  • Participate in bi-monthly Zoom calls with the Peace in Ukraine Coalition.
  • Maintain and update the www.peacinukraine.org website, organize global days of action and assist coalition members in posting their events to the website. 
  • Assist with creating promotional materials, flyers and graphics.
  • Manage the Ukraine Google group listserv and respond to inquiries.
  • Assist in growing the coalition for negotiation, not escalation in Ukraine.
  • Help organize and invite people to educational webinars. Post each webinar on YouTube and select video clips for repurposing on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram etc.
  • Assist with Medea Benjamin's Ukraine book launch and book tour in the fall, including scheduling, promotion and coordination.

10% Team Support:

  • Serve as a website/zoom tech coordinator and backup for staff on vacation, and assist with various eblasts, text blasts, and special event pages.

Location: California, Illinois, New York, or Washington D.C. Most of the work can be done remotely.
