We Cried Power – A documentary about the Poor Peoples Campaign that tells the story of a bold new social movement to end poverty in the United States, led by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis.
The devastating COVID-19 pandemic has forced us into a national emergency. This emergency, however, results from a deeper and much longer-term crisis - that of poverty and inequality. We Cried Power is a forthcoming feature-length documentary film by Dara Kell, that examines the crisis of poverty through the perspective of the leaders and voices of a new social movement, the Poor People’s Campaign.
