Veterans For Peace has been marching with this inclusive parade (one of the last three large homemade parades) since its inception and the Rising Together Guerrilla Theater will be jumping in this year with a production of "War Is NOT Good For Mother Earth Or Anything!"
They will have Puppetmaker Amy Trumpeter's Indigenous Mother Earth (with a chariot engineered by Tarak Kauff) and a Mother Earth Contingent of peoples in traditional dress and creatures of Earth, Sea, Sky & Fancy. Maskmaker Jeff Semmerling of Baltimore will bring many lightweight masks & hats (a photo inventory will follow so that you will have the opportunity to choose a costume in advance).
Rumor has it that a mermaid is sure to show up. Gen. MacArthur will be in attendance, perhaps with an adjutant. Merchants of Death are likely to follow... the Dragon of War is ever present.
They will distribute copies of Peace & Planet News, "Move The Money" & "Don't Look Away!" Ban Killer Drones flyers. Rising Together "I'm a whistleblower for justice, peace & planet!" whistles will be available.
