Tanks? No Thanks!

Tell your members of Congress to oppose the tanks and more weapons for Ukraine because there is no military solution.

We need a ceasefire and negotiated settlement.

THIS WAR IS AN ABOMINATION THAT COULD LEAD TO WWIII AND NUCLEAR DISASTER. THAT OURLEADERS” IN THE CONGRESS, WHITE HOUSE CONTINUE TO FUND IT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. WE NEED AN IMMEDIATE CEASE FIRE AND NEGOTIATIONS. ALL LIFE’S SPECIES ARE ON THE LINE.

    Dear Sir,

I do not buy the USA corporate news’ brainwashing that Ukraine is an innocent country in need of powerful weapons for survival. It is a corrupt country where Ukrainian elites are selling off parts of Ukraine to the highest bidder…this, as the US taxpayer is suffering. Ukrainian soldiers are being pushed into combat as “they fight to to the last Ukrainian” and “fight with our bullets and their blood.” Disgraceful! I am ashamed of US involvement and all the lies about Vladimir Putin evil actions. The Russian leader is doing his job protecting his country from NATO aggression. Honorable. Time to stop NATO and the neocon elites in Washington, DC. Not all Americans are as gullible as most of Congress thinks their constituents. This constituent is watching you carefully. Diplomacy is the thinking man’s way to end war. Please do so before it is too late.

Our instincts are wrong; we want to skip diplomacy because it’s too challenging, slow and uncertain. War is an ancient practice amongst nations centuries passed. Today, we are able to annihilate our civilizations and our planet’s life support. Stop sending weapons; they only provoke more escalation of deaths and nuclear responses by human provocation. You are too small when you can’t get over your knee-jerk reactions. Your responses and actions toward these disputes and resulting violence are irresponsible; it’s like a game for you; a game that is mindless, senseless and suicidal. John Vieira

Let’s remember the wise words of President Kennedy, in his address to the United Nations: “Mankind must put an end to war, or war will end mankind.” The Ukraine war can only be ended by diplomacy because NATO is seen as an existential threat by the Putin regime.

Time to divert arms profits to investing in our youth, our future!
None of us would tolerate the crammed classroom, crowd control schedules that lead to frustration and gun violence.

Negotiations will lead to the end of this war, more armaments will not.

I added the following to my letter: Furthermore, if and when these tanks make it into battle, they will be quickly destroyed by the Russian military, thus revealing the inadequacy and inferiority of U.S. technology. Plus, the fact that they will break down and not be able to be repaired by poorly trained and experienced Ukrainian mechanics. Giving Ukraine tanks is a meaningless gesture that will only prolong the inevitable victory by Russia and get thousands of more soldiers, mostly Ukrainian, needlessly killed.

Our leaders are taking us down a path of forever wars at the expense of all of humanity with the 2 exception being:
1.) “the war machine” government/military industrisl complex.
2.) Our representatives in Congress that take the war machines $$$$$ to pay for their campaigns and financial advisors….at our tax dollar expense.
we the people vote em in and are complicite in their actions
THIS CYCLE NEEDS AN ABRUPT END

We need to call for a halt to the fighting, a ceasefire, negotiations, diplomacy. The “doomsday clock” is now 90 seconds to midnight— and we say ENOUGH! This is a senseless conflict that only Lockheed Martin is winning.

Thank you for making it easy to tell our federal representatives what we think about the situation in Ukraine. With NYT and NPR pushing for escalation, it’s hard to show how stupid a fist fight is when a negotiation can provide a better resolution to a conflict.
