The War of Terror: Summer of Peace & Love Teach-in

updatedsept8sop.png

The Bush White House used the women of Afghanistan as a justification for the war on terror. The total death toll culminating to at least 4.5 to 4.7 million lives as a result of its inception. And over 38 million people from Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, the Philippines, Libya, and Syria displaced in the past 25 years. Tens of millions of lives forever changed by this decades-long war waged by the United States. Since then, what have we learned about the propaganda used to drive the U.S. war agenda? How do we reflect on the war on terror that created the patterns of violence we see today in the U.S.? Or the suffering we see as in Palestine, Cuba, Venezuela and Iran?

Join us as we hear from women who has been on the frontlines of the anti-war movement for 25+ years, as they discuss the moment we are in and where we go from here.

This summer, communities across the US will join for a Summer of Peace and Love. Let's equip ourselves with the tools and education we need!
