Join CODEPINK San Diego on Sunday, September 13th from 1:30-3:15 PM for a peaceful vigil in partnership with the Otay Mesa Detention Collective. We are coming together to send a clear message of hope and solidarity to those held inside, reminding them that they are not forgotten, and that our community stands with them in the fight for their freedom and dignity.
As part of the event, we’ll have fidget spinners available for a suggested donation. Proceeds will go directly toward commissary and phone funds for detainees. We will honor those who have lost their lives at the hands of ICE over the past year. We’ll be displaying printed photos and holding space to remember them, affirming that their lives mattered and will not be forgotten.
All are welcome. Come stand with us in compassion and action.
