CODEPINK NYC Joins Rally Against the United States’ Unprovoked War on Iran
BROOKLYN -- CODEPINK NYC will join a large coalition of organizations for a rally on Oct. 20, 2026, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. outside Rep. Hakeem Jeffries' office at 55 Hanson Place, Suite 603, Brooklyn, N.Y. The event aims to advocate for a permanent end to U.S. military actions in Iran.
The rally is part of a nationwide movement calling for a permanent end to the United States’s war on Iran initiated by Action Corps, Bring Our Troops Home, Common Defense, The Libertarian Institute, National Iranian American Council (NIAC), Peace Action, Presbyterian Church (USA) Office of Public Witness, Fellowship of Reconciliation and World BEYOND War.
Participants will call on Congress to cease all funding for military operations, enforce the War Powers Resolution, demand accountability for incidents such as the Minab Elementary School bombing, and support diplomatic efforts, sanctions relief, and a peace agreement to end the war. The call to action has pulled in over 90 organizations endorsing the day of action and sparked rallies happening at 30 other congressional offices across the country, including 4 in New York.
The Brooklyn event is co-sponsored by Brooklyn For Peace, Common Defense, NIAC NY, The People's Forum, NYC War Resisters League, Riverside Church, Military Families Speak Out, Equality for Flatbush, and NY 8 Neighbors for Gaza Ceasefire. These organizations are collaborating to build political power and advocate for an end to the "forever war" agenda.
