The war economy distances us from the joy and pleasure of a creative life, creating a cycle of dissatisfaction and emptiness that we often fill with consumption. We are truly fulfilled when we create avenues for feeling, art, expression, and places for life to be cultivated and thrive. These urgent times call for everyone to explore and expand their creative gifts, wherever those gifts lie in each of us.
To inspire you in your journey, we invited the poet Drew Dellinger to share his insights and story with our community. Drew is a multi-faceted creator: a writer, speaker, poet, and teacher. He is author of the award-winning poetry collection, Love Letter to the Milky Way, and the upcoming book, The Ecological King, which Dr. Cornel West has hailed as "unprecedented, pioneering, and path-blazing." Drew's work is inspired by and responds to the times in which we find ourselves, and reminds us that the Peace Economy is the most critical work we can all be doing for ourselves and our communities.
