Join CODEPINK LA and Entertainment Labor for Palestine for a boycott of Scream 7 and Marvel at Comic-Con Los Angeles at two scheduled events. We will also flyer and teach-in.Â
Spyglass Media Group firing Melissa Barrera, CBS cancelling Colbert, and ABC suspending Jimmy Kimmel. Fight back against Hollywood repression and join us at Comic-Con Los Angeles on September 27th!
Comic-Con is one of the biggest pop-culture events in the U.S. It’s also Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement wonderland! Join Code Pink and Entertainment Labor for Palestine in heeding the Palestinian-led calls for the cultural boycott of the following:
Scream cast members, Matthew Lillard (Stu Macher), Skeet Ulrich (Billy Loomis), and Jamie Kennedy (Randy Meeks), will be at a panel at Comic-Con Sept 27th, join us as we boycott outside the event and help spread the word about the Boycott of Scream 7 campaign. Mexican actor Melissa Barrera was fired from the Scream franchise by Spyglass for speaking out against Israel’s genocide in Gaza. CODEPINK and Entertainment Labor for Palestine stand firmly with Barrera, calling her dismissal an act of blacklisting that reflects Hollywood’s broader efforts to silence voices for Palestinian human rights—especially those of women of color. We ask audiences to boycott the film and for journalists not to silence our boycott or dismiss what happened to Melissa when reviewing the film when it comes out February 27, 2026.
Then join boycott outside Marvel’s WandaVision/The Avengers cast panel and demand Marvel and Disney heed calls to drop Israeli “superhero” Ruth Bat-Seraph aka “Sabra,”who is anti-Palestinian, dehumanizes Arabs, spreads Israeli propaganda and glorifies settler violence against an indigenous people, including children.
