Join us on Thursday, May 15th from 4-7pm Pacific for a rally that starts in front of the building where Brownley and Irwin have offices. We will attempt to follow up on a letter delivered to both of them asking them to support peace not war and to work for their constituents on issues important to us like housing, inflation, wildfire disaster recovery, and student debt. We will have a short march (less than a half mile) to Thousand Oaks Blvd. near the shopping centers to be more visible to rush-hour traffic. We will have speeches from CODEPINK LA, Venturans for a Just Palestine, and Veterans for Peace.
Come out when you can. Bring signs. Some of us will try to meet with Brownley and Irwin's staff to see if they have a response to our letters delivered a week earlier. Parking on the street or in lot behind building after 5pm if not visiting the offices. Do not engage with any critics or counterprotestors. Avoid blocking parking lots, driveways, and restaurant entrance across the street.
