15 Palestinian first responders were found in a mass grave in Gaza on March 23 — executed by the Israeli occupation forces while trying to save lives. Some were found with their hands zip-tied, shot at close range. One was a UN worker.
The International Association of EMTs and Paramedics (IAEP), which claims to protect emergency responders, has said nothing. This silence is not neutral — it enables the continued targeting of medics in Gaza. It’s time to speak up.
Sign the petition to demand the IAEP speak out and stand with Palestinian first responders. Their colleagues are being killed for doing the same work EMTs perform every day.
We, the undersigned, are calling on the IAEP to break its silence and speak out in defense of the Palestinian first responders who are being systematically targeted and killed by the Israeli military. As an organization that claims to represent and protect emergency medical workers, your silence in the face of these atrocities is unacceptable.
On March 23, 2025, the Israeli military massacred at least 15 Palestinian paramedics and emergency workers in Gaza. Many of the victims were found in a mass grave, hands zip-tied, and shot at close range. They were not armed. They were not combatants. They were doing their jobs — trying to save lives.
Among them was a United Nations employee, and many others were medics working for Palestine Red Crescent Society and local hospitals. These killings are part of a broader campaign to annihilate Gaza’s healthcare system — one that includes the bombing of hospitals, the targeting of ambulances, and the detention and torture of doctors and nurses.
Despite this, the IAEP has not issued a single public statement. How many more of your colleagues must be executed before you raise your voice?
Silence is not neutrality. Your inaction signals to the world that the execution of medics is acceptable. As a union committed to protecting emergency responders, your responsibility extends beyond borders, especially when first responders are murdered for fulfilling the same duty your members perform every day.
We urge the IAEP to stand in solidarity with Palestinian emergency workers, who risk their lives daily under siege, by publicly condemning the March 23 massacre of Palestinian medics and demanding an immediate end to the genocide in Gaza.
